| 熊本は父の住む場所。 したがって、観光で、というよりも、父宅大掃除のためにやってきたのであり、そうちょこちょこ遊びに行ったわけではない。 天気も二日居た内の一日は雨だった。 生活必需品などを買いに買い物へ出かける。市内に住んで居るものの、日ごろは買い込みをするときは車で、という習慣になっている身には、数キロのお米などを持って片道２０分〜３０分ほど歩くのはちょっとつらい。だから休み休みしながら家まで戻る。 熊本も路面電車が現役で、時折町中を電車がとおり過ぎていく。そういう景色はなんだかほっとするものがある。 | Kumamoto is the place where my father lives.So, I visited Kumamoto for cleaning my father's flat, not for sightseeing only. Fortunately, it was rainy when I cleaned his flat.(Ah, just I don't like go for sightseeing on rainy days.) As I usually go to supermarket by car, it was not easy for me to carry 3kg rice bag and other dairy goods ,which was not found in his flat,to his flat. So I took a rest again and again on my way to home. There are street trains in Kumamoto, too. Sometimes such trains go trhough the town and I like to see such scenes. |
| Natsume Souseki lived in Kumamoto and wrote some famous novels.There is one of houses which Souseki lived in Kumamoto city. So I visited it on my way to Kumamoto Castle. April is a month when green leaves are fresh and beautiful.And trees in Souseki's house were also very beautiful. | 松山も夏目漱石縁の地であるが、熊本も縁の地なのであった。 しかも、市内には引越魔であった漱石が比較的長く暮らし、また当時の趣を残している記念館があるのであった。 と、いうことで、熊本に来ると必ず行う熊本城詣で（単に、熊本城が好きなのです）の途中で立ち寄った。四月は若葉が美しい季節で、漱石邸の庭の木々も美しかった。 |
| 日本のお城の中で、私が特に好きなお城は３つ。大阪城と姫路城と熊本城。 大阪城の形自体は、特に昭和の大修理以降は、少々好きではないのですが、それでも、大阪人ではない私の知人が来阪すると、少なくとも一度は大阪城に連れて行かれるという運命にあります。 同じように、もし熊本で知人に会うとしたら、私は熊本城へ連れて行くことでしょう。熊本の人は保守的だと感じます、その保守性は時に私をいらだてますが、少なくとも、熊本城についてはよい方向に作用していると思います。 熊本へ行くときには、必ず一度は熊本城へ立ち寄ることにしているのですが、その規模、色合いは見事の一言です。 現在、熊本城は修復中です、五年くらい後になると完成するとのことですが、さぞや見事なお城になることでしょう。 | Among castles in Japan, I have three castles which I like very much. They are Osaka castle, Himeji castle and this Kumamoto Castle. The feeling to Osaka castle is like feeling to like hometown. And I don't say the shape of Osaka castle is excellent, but like many Osaka people, I can not help being proud of Osaka castle though present Osaka castle is too modern. And my friend from outside Osaka cannot escape from being guided to the castle by me...at least one time.... And if I meet someone in Kumamoto,I tend to bring her or him to this castle. People in Kumamoto are conservative, and perhaps it is still a major idea among people that male are sperior to female (the idea which I hate).Anyway, their conservative feeling works well to Kumamoto castle and this castle is well repaired, rebuilt and kept very well. I make it a rule to visit Kumamoto castle when I visit Kumamoto. |
